+ crit w/ Tony, Jess and Myself - No Jeff as he raced down for some reason.....?

In classic fashion, Clover did not reg till the day of, holding their cards as to who they had. They showed up with Bubba, Ted, Rosser, and Mark Henry. Ted is (was) the current jersey holder......

We got there early to see and cheer on our boys in the 30, 35, and 40's - then we went-

I was pretty bummed the night before as we all knew at that point who from the Clovers were going to be in the race and my history with them this yr has been, errr, "uncomfortable"? Seems they really don't like to loose.... Frickin worst sports out there!! This one was no different.

Race started out with half a lap mid pace and then it strung a bit. Tony got into a break with Bubba n some others and I hear later he was yelling to our crew on the sidelines for us to pull it back which I did with Rich J. from VOS.

Any time a Clover would go one of us was on them and they would shut it down - sometimes hit the breaks?

At one point I saw Jess, who was pulling our line, sense an attack across the rd - it was Rosser, who was very active- and perfectly time the move across the whole rd and w/o looking just bx him into the gutter - I can't tell you how many times in this race I was laughing to myself.... the boys did all they could and in the last lap Bill Owens (Reno WM - who is a friend of ours, and we had talked to the night before) did just as we had planned, and that was to come to the ft at the start / finish line and put his head down and drive it- oh it was perfect!!! Bill did it for half a lap and then Rich came by on the far right passing us w/ the full Clover squad in tow. I sped up and planted myself in the middle of the rd knowing the train would swing far left to set up for the coming turn and as they did I picked up 3rd slot from Ted (not happy) and as we are going fast into the turn rich n Rosser leave the inside line open - soooooo, that's where I went and I was going faster than them and slid right into 2nd wheel ;-) - Now, in that turn, Ted had not backed off enough to feel good about himself.... but he was behind me and there was no contact. So we continue and get thru the "S" tun and I went from the corner opening up a safe distance and WE won the jersey!

The aftermath saw Ted Super unload on me with a ton of f-you's etc of which after the Dash for Cash yelling match from them of which I said nothing, I gave it all back to him. They protested saying I was ridding wreck-less... etc. Lebold called me over and we talked. In the end I was a bit pissed and told him to just give the jersey to them. He reused, and Kyle n Jonathan E. did make sense to us keeping it snapping me out of my thought process - or lack there of......

In the end its great to be beating such a reactionary bunch! And a small consolation to the loss of the National Jersey-
